Geoff Barbaro
Geoff has had experience in all forms of organisations from small not-for-profits to international Forbes 500 compani
es. After ten years as a lawyer, Geoff transferred his analysis, strategy and communications abilities into organisations as a communications and strategy adviser to senior management teams.
For the last decade, Geoff has led and facilitated strategic and organisational planning programs in Australia and internationally, and has held senior corporate positions in Leadership and Strategic Communications. He has created and implemented successful plans for projects from international market entry to redesigned University degrees.
He is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, and a member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and the International Association of Business Communicators. He is a regular speaker at national and international conferences, and conducts workshops on values and ethics, leadership, strategy and communications.
He is currently the General Manager of the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) and continues to help Corporate Growing Pains through blogging and providing a sounding board for Michelle.
He is passionate about leadership, values, visions, strategic thinking and planning, communications and the need for organisations to recognise that they are groups of people. He has been best able to add value to organisations by defining and implementing alignments between these critical components.
